Redtix is an Australian event ticketing platform built around one idea: event organisers shouldn't have to wait until their event is over to get paid. Powered by Stripe, ticket money goes straight into the organiser's own Stripe account as each sale is made.
Organisers sign up online, set their ticket categories and prices, and paste the Redtix ticket widget into their own website, so the whole buying experience stays under their brand. No website? They can sell from a dedicated Redtix event page instead.
Everything runs in a web browser. A simple admin page handles capacity limits, discount codes, complimentary tickets, refunds, upgrades and exchanges, and emails to patrons. At the gate, staff scan tickets and take cash or card sales on their own phones, with no hardware to rent, and the scanner keeps working when the internet drops out, which suits regional venues. Patrons can save their tickets to Google Wallet.
Pricing is simple and complies with Australia's ban on drip pricing: no setup or monthly fees, just $0.60 + 3.30% per transaction, including Stripe's fees and GST, built into the advertised price. Every sale is logged to a live Google Sheet the organiser owns.
